Smoked & Dry-Ice Done Right

Dry ice fog that billows from the glass. A cloche lift that releases aroma before the first sip. A delicate bubble guests can pop for a miniature smoke show. When handled by pros, these moments turn your bar into a live performance—without slowing service and without risk.

Why Effects Work

And Photograph So Well

Aroma hits memory faster than taste. Smoke and gentle fog add a sensory cue guests remember, and the motion reads beautifully in photos and video. We choreograph these beats so they amplify the party—not the wait time.

Our Non-Negotiables for Safety

Showmanship sits on a backbone of engineering, training, and clear protocols.

  • No loose dry ice—ever — We NEVER use pellets or chips on the bar or in glassware – it’s simply not safe .. and not worth the risk.
  • Professional dry-ice system — Our trained team operates a specialized dry machine that doses food-grade CO₂ safely into purpose-built glasses e made with a retention-chamber that keeps the solid CO₂ fully isolated at the bottom—away from lips and straws.
  • Immediate handoff, safely — Because the CO₂ stays contained, guests can receive drinks immediately and enjoy the visual effect for up to 5 minutes.

  • Food-grade smoke – we offer over 20 flavors for use with our professional smoke gun – all are food grade essential oils developed specifically for smoking food and cocktails.
  • Food-grade bubble solution — When creating a smoke bubble we use a plant-based, beverage-approved formula designed for cocktail service – Guests can pop bubble crowns with a garnish pick, a gentle glass tap or even with their lips – safely.

  • Venue coordination — Approvals confirmed in advance; effect zones and ventilation planned with your coordinator.

  • Coverage & compliance — TIPs-certified staff; $2M general & liquor liability.

Effect Menu: Where We Use Them Best

Each effect is designed to be brief, safe, and line-friendly.

  • Smoked Old Fashioned — Maple/cherry/hickory chips; cloche-lift reveal at the bar for a cinematic aroma moment.

  • Smoked Rosemary Gimlet — Bright citrus meets piney aromatics; quick reveal at service.

  • Signature “Cloud” Pour (Closed-System) — A dramatic, photogenic fog created by our closed-system dry-ice machine and retention-chamber glassware; safe for immediate handoff with a visible effect that lasts up to 5 minutes.

  • Smoke-Filled Bubble Crown — A delicate, food-safe bubble perched on the rim of a glass to release a soft aromatic puff—high-impact on camera, mess-free at service.

Timing It for the Camera

The effect peaks fast—plan the shots to catch each beat.

  • Cloud Pour: Shoot immediately; peak drama in 0–2 minutes after pour, gentle wisps persist up to ~5 minutes.

  • Bubble Crown: Capture three beats—(1) crown placement, (2) macro of the bubble’s sheen, (3) the burst plus reaction.

  • Cloche Reveals: Frame the lift; let smoke roll past signage or LEDs for depth.

  • Stage the angle: Back-bar cleared; signage lit; effect zone pre-lit so fog and bubbles read on camera.

  • Cue the couple: We’ll time a cloud pour or bubble burst right as you raise the glasses.

Do / Don’t
  • Do confirm venue rules early; we’ll select effect zones with visibility and airflow in mind.

  • Do keep a non-effect “twin” of each cocktail ready to maintain speed during rushes.

  • Do designate a burst zone over the bar or tray to keep surfaces slip-free.

  • Don’t allow any self-service of the dry-ice machine, bubble tools, or specialty glassware.

  • Don’t place loose dry ice anywhere on the bar or use standard glassware for fog effects

FAQ

Is the cloud effect safe to hand to guests right away?
Yes. Our closed-system machine doses food-grade CO₂ into specialty glasses that keep the solid CO₂ isolated at the bottom, Guests only sip the liquid; so we can hand off immediately with no fear of contact at the sip point.

How long does the visual effect last?
Typically up to 5 minutes. The most dramatic fog is in the first 0–2 minutes, then it gently tapers. Ambient temperature and pour size can shift exact duration.

Are smoke-filled bubbles safe?
Yes. We use a plant-based, food-safe solution made for cocktail service, and our team handles the applicators. Guests pop the bubble with a pick or gentle tap.

Will smoke or fog set off alarms?
We use minimal smoke for cloche reveals and plan ventilation. For fog, we coordinate with your venue and place the effect zone thoughtfully to avoid detectors.

What if our venue says no to fog or smoke?
No problem. We can mimic drama with aromatic garnishes, torched citrus oils, theatrical toppers, and lighting—zero compromises on wow
